A market in operation
Romania: how an exclusive Ecoalga importer works
Ecoalga supplies Romania through an exclusive importer, Landisa Plant, who buys the volume and sells the Ulva macroalgae extract in its market under the licensed Ecoalga brand, with Romanian labelling, its own floor displays at the point of sale and a presence at sporting events. The agreement has been running for several years.

The agreement
What the agreement with the Romanian importer covers
The distributor takes on the whole market: firm purchase, storage, invoicing its own customers and building demand. Ecoalga provides the product, the brand and the technical backing. It is the same split we propose to any importer.
| Element | Provided by Ecoalga | Taken on by the distributor |
|---|---|---|
| Product | Packaged Ulva macroalgae extract with batch analysis | Firm purchase by volume and local stock |
| Brand | Ecoalga brand licensed for the Romanian market | Own domain, channels and local communication |
| Label | Artwork adapted to the destination language and regulations | Regulatory validation in its country |
| Point of sale | Displays, roll-ups, flags and banners | In-store placement and staff training |
| Territory | Country exclusivity tied to an annual commitment | Commercial coverage of the whole territory |
Point of sale
The material that goes into the store
The brand reaches the shelf with full physical support: floor display, roll-up, outdoor flags and entrance signage. The distributor does not build the presentation from scratch.
The brand in the market
Lead sponsor of a Retezat Mountain Run race
At the edition held on 8 August 2026 in Retezat National Park, Ecoalga appears as lead sponsor of one of the races and on the official sponsor board alongside brands such as Decathlon and Red Bull. The activation included a finish-area banner, flags along the course and a presence at the start.
For an importer this answers a specific question: what happens to the brand once it crosses the border. It does not sit in the warehouse.

Frequently asked questions
Questions about the Romanian agreement
- Does Ecoalga sell directly in Romania?
- No. Romania is covered by an exclusive importer, Landisa Plant, who buys the volume, sells it in the local market and serves its own customers. Ecoalga supplies product, brand and technical documentation.
- What does a licensed brand mean?
- The distributor sells under the Ecoalga brand in its country, with labelling adapted to the local language and regulations, and runs its own domain and commercial channels. The alternative is the distributor's own brand, which we also manufacture from a full pallet.
- Can exclusivity be granted for another country?
- It is assessed case by case and tied to an annual volume commitment. Romania is currently the only country with assigned exclusivity outside Spain.
- Does Ecoalga provide point-of-sale material?
- Yes. Floor displays, roll-ups, flags, banners and label artwork are part of the commercial support the distributor receives, adapted to its language.
